Gylfi Sigurdsson’s Swansea move to Everton stalls

Gylfi Sigurdsson & Everton

Forget Neymar moving from Barcelona to PSG.

For Swansea and Everton fans, it’s felt they’ve been reading stories about a possible deal forGylfi Sigurdsson for months already.

The Icelandic international was key to Swansea beating the drop last season, while the Toffees have been trying to signSigurdsson throughout the summer window.

Swansea, meanwhile, has stayed firm in their position. Siggy can leave Wales from 50 million pounds, while Everton have been trying to get creative with their offer to meet the Swans demands.

But, despite many claims that the deal is close, on Saturday night it feels like it’s stalled.

Paul Clement talks

Swansea boss Paul Clement has been clear to the media about the club’s stance overSigurdsson.

Most of all, Clement has said he refused to allow the transfer saga to drag. It feels like it’s do or die time for Everton to get the deal done.

On Saturday Swansea beat Sampdoria 4-0, and Clement told the media that no deal forSigurdsson has yet been reached.

Are Everton about to miss out on the deal?
