Jose Mourinho rages after Stoke 2 Man United 2

You would think Jose Mourinho would be angry with Stoke’s free transfer signing ofEric Maxim Choupo-Moting.

Or, the defending from the likes of Matteo Darmian and Phil Jones at Stoke, as Manchester United surrendered their 100% winning record this season.

It could have been a lot worse for Manchester United at the Bet365 Stadium. But there remain plenty of question marks about Jose Mourinho’s side.

Stoke 2 Manchester United 2

Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting gave Stoke the lead before half-time. Marcus Rashford equalised with the final touch from a Paul Pogba header.

When Romelu Lukaku made it 2-1, it looked like Manchester United would win out. Instead,Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting scored again for 2-2.

Manchester United remain joint top of the Premier League, level on 10 points with city rivals Manchester City.

Mark Hughes v Jose Mourinho

Despite a fine match, much of the talking after the game has centred around a new spat between Mark Hughes and Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho said before the game that he did not know who Hughes identifies with more, Chelsea or Manchester United.

For most, Hughes is a Manchester United legend but we suspect Red Devils fans will not care too much at the fact he was snubbed by Mourinho at full time.

The Special One did not shake hands with Hughes, who almost always seems to create headlines over a post match handshake.

Mourinho rages at the BBC

After the game, Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho was asked about the non handshake with Mark Hughes.

And, his incredulous response told a story. The Manchester United manager wanted to talk about football.

And, made his feelings known without even answering the question

Mourinho told the official Manchester United website: I’m not satisfied with a point because we were the team closer to winning. I have to say it is a result I accept though. One team tried to win, one team tried to get the point but they fought hard to get that point they defended well, they counter-attacked and in set-pieces they are powerful.
